Intramuscular Drugs
And Brain Therapy

© 2005 Dr. Barry R. Gillespie

In the 1790s Jenner gave the first intramuscular drug in the modern era.

At that time in Europe many people were dying of smallpox, and his vaccine discovery saved many lives. From his work over the years other vaccines to deadly diseases were discovered and incorporated into western society. As a result, the pharmaceutical industry rose to powerhouse status in the twentieth century.

The whole concept of immunity to deadly diseases is a great advance in the culture. But this unnatural act of inserting foreign chemicals and proteins into the body may have consequences.

This article will explore the possible connection that Intramuscular drugs may have on the craniosacral fascial system, affecting our work as healthcare professionals.

When we think of intramuscular drugs, vaccines come to mind immediately.

When I was born in 1947, my parents felt they were necessary because polio was killing and crippling many children at the time. When my children were born in the early 1970s, my wife and I felt that vaccines still were a good option.

But after being in the craniosacral fascial field since that time, I have changed my opinion. I am totally in favor of the concept of immunity; I think it is a great idea.

Safer Intramuscular Drugs

My plea is to make it safer for everyone!

The great debate with vaccines today is their potential neurotoxicity to young, fragile central nervous systems. Vaccines are implicated in a host of brain injury conditions. A great deal of focus is now centered on autism, occurring once in every one hundred and sixty six births. A significant number of mothers are now afraid to give their children any vaccines.

My primary concern with intramuscular drugs is that they have a great propensity of gluing up the craniosacral fascial system.

This is routinely seen with children who have just had shots and with adults in therapy who are detoxifying shots from their childhood. In theory, the drug creates a gluing effect in the fascial web and a nasty strain pattern in the area.

That fascial strain can pull on the craniosacral mechanism, muscles, nerves, bones, organs, and other tissues causing general havoc in the body. On the flip side these drugs can take years to release from the body.

Common Examples Of Strains From Shots

A common example would be a health conscious middle-aged client who is living a very clean lifestyle. When she comes to me for treatment, in a few visits the childhood vaccines may start to detoxity from her body.

In my era most shots were given in the deltoids. In studying my patients, I have found that some of the drugs traveled down the arm into the hand. Most of the drugs traveled into the shoulder, just medial to the scapula, and lodged in the back causing conditions in these tissues.

The gluing effect of the drugs made a considerable difference in the outcome of fascial therapy.

Classical fascial therapy identifies a strain pattern in the body. The tissues become very tight (pulling up to 2,000 pounds per square inch), the fascial melts like butter, the body moves more freely, and the patient feels relief.

With some fascial strain patterns from the back of the head down the neck, and into the upper back, the fascia still becomes very tight but will not release. Even with holding the strain pattern for 30, 60, 90 seconds or more, the fascia refuses to let go. This is a much different feel than from even the most traumatic of whiplash accidents.

General physical trauma has a really clean fascial release; but when drugs are involved, the fascia can feel very unrelenting, like you are hitting a brick wall.

Over the years, for example, I have seen many massage therapists who had head, neck, and/or shoulder pain. They were under the impression that it was due to years of manual work.

My contention is that they were predisposed to this condition with all of their childhood deltoid vaccines. Most of our clients are very tight in the neck/shoulder blade area. People will say this a major stress area where tissues naturally tighten. I contend that they were predisposed from their deltoid vaccine shots in childhood.

Today many children are given shots in the quadriceps. I have seen children with knee and hip problems for no apparent reason. I am wondering are the drugs the cause?

People get flu shots, cortisone shots, local dental anesthesia shots, and the like. As the drugs are unnaturally forced into the fascia, what are the ramifications for the craniosacral fascial system?

When I have dental work done, I try not to have any lidocaine. If I do have it, it may take weeks to release and drain out of my head and neck. My students and I have had the experience many times of doing work in the oral area where local anesthetic that was stuck in the fascial web for years, released and created numbness in the jaw – just like a dental injection.

When I do continual therapy for adults who are detoxifying, they can report rashes, welts, pimples, and itching skin where the drugs are releasing from the body. Some clients (myself included) feel the needle pain in the deltoid tissue.

As John Barnes has said many times, the fascia remembers!

As we peel the traumatic layers of our onion, all of those times when we cried at the doctor’s office can resurface. Many students and I have reported that right after a vaccine injection, a child may become ill. The drugs, infiltrating through the fascial system, can severely restrict the craniosacral mechanism and can cause a myriad of problems within the central nervous system.

Intramuscular Drugs For Children

As of this writing, at least twenty-three inoculations are required for today’s children. As the drug companies come up with more “cures”, the list will grow.

We all realize that immunity is very important for our children, but I question how all of these drugs will impact the fascial web and the central nervous system?

If you are working on a client whose myofascial tissue is not responding, think of the possible consequences of drug fascial traumas that happened long ago in childhood. The fascia remembers! As this problem becomes more known in the future, the medical model can find a way to administer them in a more biocompatible method.
