The Craniosacral Fascial
Seminar For The
Evaluation and Treatment of Newborns and Mothers
Who: Anyone may attend the Wednesday through Friday basic seminar. Birthing professionals or people who will work with babies will want to attend the beautiful Saturday session.
Even though this approach is very new for everyone, you do not need any previous medical knowledge or training in craniosacral and/or fascial therapies. You just need to have an open mind and an open heart to help people.
When:
Wednesday - April 22, 2009 – 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (One hour for lunch)
Thursday - April 23, 2009 – 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (One hour for lunch)
Friday - April 24, 2009 – 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (One hour for lunch)
…This completes the basic course…
…The added infant segment at Lester’s office…
Saturday - April 25, 2009 – 8:30 AM – Early afternoon
Where: The Lantern Lodge and Conference Center, 411 North College St, Myerstown, Pa. 17067. The hotel is holding a block of rooms with two double beds at a special rate until four weeks before the seminar when the rooms go back to their regular rate. Please call the hotel to make your own reservations at 1-717-866-6536. Please tell them you are with Dr Gillespie’s Brain Therapy group to receive the special rate.
You can check the hotel out and get directions at . . . thelanternlodge.com. The hotel serves a buffet lunch or you may bring your own. They also serve breakfast and dinner. There are many home-style eating establishments nearby.
Cost: The basic three-day seminar is $800, which includes the workbook, all instruction, and spring water. If you plan to attend the Saturday session, the cost is an additional $150 (total $950).
How to register: Please contact Lester Hurst at 1-717-304-1905. Students are taken on a first come, first served basis. Since this work is so avant-garde in today’s society, no CEUs are currently available. A certificate of completion for the basic three-day seminar will be given to each student at the completion on Friday afternoon.
The primary teacher: With over thirty years of experience in the craniosacral fascial field, Dr Gillespie passionately believes that all newborns on the planet should be checked with the Brain Score and treated with craniosacral fascial therapy, if necessary, to prevent many chronic childhood conditions.
For further information about the work, please go to: healingyourchild.com and/or brain-therapy.com
Your preparation before the class: Lester Hurst will send you a workbook by Dr Gillespie for the three-day seminar before the class. He will also send you a copy of The Brain Score, a short medical article by Dr Gillespie and Matthew and Carol Newell, via email or regular mail as part of your homework.
Dr Gillespie and the Newells are associated with The Family Hope Center, an International Brain-Injured Center for Children, in the Philadelphia area. You may go to the familyhopecenter.org website and click on Online Videos to see Dr. Gillespie present a fifteen minute lecture about craniosacral fascial therapy.
The one rule with no exceptions: Spouses, friends, and children are welcomed to enjoy the area’s offerings, but will not be allowed under any circumstances in the seminar area during the teaching session. Only students and teachers will be allowed in the hall.
The seminar goals: The goals for the seminar are for you to learn to do the Brain Score and craniosacral fascial therapy for everyone including newborns and their mothers. We especially want you to get the basic concept so that you can help newborns receive the benefit of better health.
We treat children and adults with their chronic conditions after-the-fact, but we realize that you hold the key to mitigate fetal and birthing trauma with evaluation and therapy in the first few minutes of life.
The Saturday Infant Program
The infant program will start on Saturday at 8:30 AM at Lester Hurst’s office. It is located at 9533 Old Route 22, Suite 303, Bethel, Pa. 19507, about fifteen minutes north of the hotel, just off of Route 501. We will provide directions from the hotel to his office at the seminar. Because of the tight space in Lester’s office, we will only be able to have a limited number of students. Please sign up for this program early.
Dr Gillespie will present a complete review of the Brain Score article from 8:30 to 9:30 AM. Christine Holdfelder will then present the clinical techniques to do the Brain Score. At 10 AM you will be doing the Brain Score and working with four Mennonite and Amish moms and their infants with a teacher (Lester, Krissy, Pat, or Christine) for about an hour and forty-five minutes.
Please bring a snack to eat on a short break since we hope to have a second wave of four moms and babies, if they are available, to work with starting at 12 PM. We will then have a question and answer session and finish the seminar at around 2 PM or so. The teachers will again meet for lunch afterwards to discuss the day’s events at The Dutch Way on Route 422 in Myerstown.
You will experience a very special and beautiful day. We are very fortunate to have moms wanting to attend with their babies. Every attempt will be made to have all of the infants available, but sickness and uncontrollable events at the last minute can occur. If you can supply infants/moms for this Saturday session, please let Lester know.
The Seminar Financial Terms
We accept without any discrimination all students of any age who have an open mind and heart to serve the Lord in the healing of others.
Our seminar is medically oriented, and each student will receive and study a syllabus before the seminar. We feel that each student has the potential to help hundreds and possibly thousands of people to reach better health. Our students come to us in Pennsylvania from all parts of America, Canada, Central and South America.
Our mission is to see this work blossom in all parts of the world to help everyone, rich or poor. We tend to forget about the 40% of the people on the planet who live on $2 a day or less; they experience trauma like everyone else! We have donated scholarship money to help with some of the seminar expenses for third world students who promise to go back home and work with these people.
The seminar has been very popular in the past and has filled up quickly. We like to keep the class size at no more than 20-24 people so that you have a quality learning experience. We could teach larger classes to generate more money, but you could get lost in the cracks. We have dedicated teachers to make sure you “get it” so that when you leave, you can feel confident to help others. Some teachers offer internships at their private offices, if you need it, to build your confidence in managing your own practice. Please take advantage of this opportunity.
Before you decide to take the training, you must make a firm financial commitment to attend. We have many fixed expenses in presenting the seminar that have to be paid even if you say you will attend and then decide not to come. We also need to keep the class size at an even number so everyone has a partner to work on during the 3 days.
We also may have some people coming from long distances who may have difficulty in changing their travel plans. Even more importantly, if you do not come, a person on the waiting list, who really wanted to learn, will not get the training. Your dropping out would affect the health care of a great many people in his/her area.
After you have made a firm commitment in your mind to attend, you need to send a $500 nonrefundable deposit to Lester Hurst at his address below, holding your spot in the class.

Bethel, Pa. 19507

Once we have enough students to hold the seminar, he will send you the seminar workbook that’s yours to keep, even if you do not attend the seminar. But if you decide not to attend, you will forfeit your entire $500 deposit. Please pay your balance to Lester between 8 AM and 8:20 AM on the first day of the seminar.
If you decide not to attend the seminar after registering, as an option you may find someone else to take your place and he/she would repay you your $500 to purchase your workbook and take your spot in the class. Please notify Lester of this change.
Speaking for all of the teachers, I can say this work with newborns is our passion. We look forward to teaching and working with you. We hope that you have a great seminar experience that will change your life and the lives of others. When you leave the seminar, we want you to go out and help us change the world!
